North Glenmore Park was established in 1959. It is a lovely, well-maintained park. Pathways are snow cleared in the winter so that people can walk, jog, and even bike any time of year. The paths are wheelchair accessible, making it very convenient for everyone.
The park is on the north side of the Glenmore Reservoir, a large reservoir on the Elbow River in the southwest quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is the home to both the Calgary Canoe Club and Calgary Rowing Club.

What is there to do at North Glenmore Park?
The park’s latest attraction is the new 730-Metre Skating Trail, which opened in December 2020. It is a free and fun destination for all Calgarians to enjoy during winter. Cross Country skiing is also allowed here.
Ice enthusiasts can warm up at various fire pits placed along the trail. For those who need them, skates can be rented on-site at the Skate Hut but only on weekends from 12 PM until 6 PM.
There are two playgrounds for children including the North Glenmore Park Playground and a Conor club where one can rent a canoe or kayak. North Glenmore Park is also an excellent place for boating as docks and launch ramps are available. Washrooms and water fountains are available seasonally.
