There are many activities that you can do at South Glenmore Park. People who love to picnic are always present here because of the excellent picnic spots & shelter.

Kids can have a wonderful time at the playgrounds and Variety Spray Park. The picnicking and playgrounds are near the 24 Street access point. South Glenmore also houses the Glenmore Sailing Club, which offers boat rentals for visitors.

Also situated in the park is the Variety Children's Park, a playground and Water Park accessible to disabled children. Sports enthusiasts are also welcome to play at the tennis courts and polo fields.

Youngsters and even adults who enjoy extreme activities are excited about the park's available facilities. There are hiking trails, cross-country skiing. The latest attraction in the park is the new Bicycle Pump Track.

The South Glenmore Bicycle Pump Track is a collaboration between the Calgary Mountain Bike Alliance, The City of Calgary and Parks Foundation Calgary.

The Bicycle Pump Track is made up of two custom-designed asphalt tracks. The bigger one is fun, flowing and challenging for riders. The smaller track is designed for kids and beginner riders.

There are some great walking loops for the adventurous, using the asphalt path on the hillside's edge and then returning via the midway or the shoreline itself to get back as well as at the Quinterra Legacy Garden.

Lovely mature trees provide the right shade. The play structures also have some gorgeous shade-providing canopies.
There are flush toilets at the west parking lot all year, but only porta-potties at the parking lot near the big splash park. Washrooms and water fountains are available seasonally.

The entire park has 347 hectares of land area. The shoreline to the Glenmore Reservoir in South Glenmore Park is beautifully wild and starts right at 24 Street and continues west to where the Weaselhead Natural Area begins.

South Glenmore Park is at the west end of 90th Avenue South West. The park's complete address is 90 Avenue, 24 Street South West. It is open from 5 AM until 11 PM.

There is a large free parking lot at the entrance to the playground. Public commuters can go to the park through the Calgary transit route 79 with stop no. 6427.
