Nose Hill Park
Much has been done to preserve Nose Hill Park. Today, it is used year-round by hikers, walkers, cyclists and other outdoor enthusiasts.
In the olden days, people could drive all the way to the top of the hill. But since the city has over 1 million people now, you have to climb the hill on foot. It is entirely worth it, though.
Nose Hill is a natural prairie park without any permanent water streams, only the rain runoff through the coulees and along the trails. It is one of the largest municipal parks nowadays, with 1,129 hectares of grassland.
