The playground area is covered with recycled tire pebbles to ensure kids’ safety. And there are mature trees to provide ample shade. Children can even run around the grassy areas between playground’s 2 and 3. You can also head to the Stanley Park Public Boat Launch to venture out on the river.
During the winter season, you can visit Toboggan Hill for an exciting way to enjoy the winter and take advantage of the snow. For the other seasons of the year, visitors can go fishing or rafting along the Elbow River.
Head over to the Stanley Park Outdoor Pool that has a wading pool for those who love to swim and beat the summer heat. Washrooms and water fountains are also available seasonally.
For your downtime, you can enjoy strolling through the pathways of the park. You can even visit Princess Oblonsky Park at the North end of Stanley Park.

Stanley Park covers 21 hectares of land with several trails, primarily used for walking. It is a favourite destination place for picnicking, swimming, canoeing, tobogganing and the Stanley Park Lawn Bowling Club.
Where is Stanley Park Located?
Stanley Park is a residential neighbourhood in Calgary, Alberta, in the southwest quadrant. Mission Road is the boundary to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, Crescent Boulevard to the south, and the west is the Elbow River.
You can find it at 4011 1A Street South West. It opens at 5:00 in the morning and closes its door at 11:00 in the evening.
There is a free parking lot mid-way along the park on 42nd Avenue as well as at Stanley Park Parking Lot on the north side which is a more considerable parking lot at Riverdale Avenue and 4th Street by the outdoor pool.
