The Killarney Aquatic & Recreation Centre provides swimming lessons and public swims for the locals. There are also two public golf courses close to this community. The Richmond Green Golf Course and the Shaganappi Point Golf Course are public courses with excellent fairways and well-maintained greens. Residents who have all skill levels will be adequately challenged on these courses.

Westbrook Mall offers the homeowners in Killarney Glengarry a place to do their shopping. Supermarkets, professional services and dining options abound there. Nearby is also the famous Marda Loop shopping centre, a unique collection of eclectic shops in a vibrant location. 17th Ave is a good destination for many of the trendy shops in Calgary. This street extends all the way to Stampede Park, lined with top-quality retail stores and cafes.

Schools near Killarney Glengarry Homes for Sale

There are quite a number of good schools in the district for Killarney Glengarry residents. Killarney School offers Kindergarten to Grade 6 education. Holy Name School is a Catholic elementary school with a quality French immersion program for this school system. 

Killarney Elementary receives excellent marks from the Fraser Institute, ranking at 53rd in the province. Holy Name shares a similar reputation in the Catholic school ranking at 41st in the province. Bishop Carroll High School is the better high school in the area, also ranking 41st in the province for academic excellence and advanced programs for gifted students.
