The Country Hills community is actually covered by the Northern Hills Community Association, a group that serves several communities in the area. They offer contests, clean-up days, sports teams, pre-school and early-aged care, as well as other community initiatives. Their combined efforts serve to connect everyone from the neighbourhoods, an important aspect when a large percentage of the population is new to the country.
At the centre of Country Hills is a nice shopping area, a plaza that draws in people from every community around. The shopping is specifically suited to the neighbourhood with many foreign restaurants, specialty shops and ethnic grocery stores like Real Canadian Superstore.
