Homes For Sale in Seton 

The community of Seton is located on the southern edge of Calgary, in the southeast of the city. There is still a lot of development to happen here, with homes to be built for the next 5-8 years. As of right now, there is a small section of housing that is complete and showcases what we know about the neighbourhood. The borders of Seton are Seton Blvd, Deerfoot Trail, and 52nd St SE.

At the moment, there are so few residents that live here that we can’t take much direction on what the community will look like. The facts we draw from neighbouring communities will be the best estimate for who Seton will appeal to. There are a large number of apartment and condo buildings being built in Seton right now. The community is being built with the mindset of the large population of hospital workers that spend their days in and around the hospital. These apartments and condos will ease the burden of housing needed in the area. We see a great number of families moving into the area, and no doubt Seton will attract the same demographics. These young communities tend to see young couples, many of these households with an average age under the standard Calgary ages in other communities. Communities like Seton offer a chance to buy affordable brand-new housing in a growing environment. As construction and development ramps up, we expect to see a tremendous explosion of residents moving here, much like when Auburn Bay and Mahogany were first developed.

The Seton community has yet to establish an official association to help foster a better community spirit. The associations of Auburn Bay and Cranston are officially tasked with creating events and programs to aid those living in this area at the moment. 

Amenities near Seton Real Estate

The community, when completed, will have plenty to offer those living here. First and foremost, the massive South Health Campus dominates the landscape of this community. This large, new hospital is one of the crowning medical facilities in the city. This state-of-the-art facility has doctors spread over dozens of fields and specialities. The people living here have access to the best medical expertise, some that attract medical professionals from around the world to study under the staff here.

The community has a little shopping plaza to its self. lt includes several franchises of larger stores in the city. This shopping plaza is already well used by the people living in the neighbouring communities around here. The Aged Care at Seton is one of the largest old-age homes in the southeast of the city.

There is an agreement for Seton residents who want to use the Auburn Bay park. They can be granted access as a guest of a Auburn Bay resident. The community shares many bonds and this is another example of the cooperation between two communities. The lake is one of the most active lake communities in the are with watercraft rentals, fishing, swimming, and skating provided on the lake.

Schools near Seton Homes for Sale

The community, when it does attract more students, has great schools in neighbouring communities. Auburn Bay SchoolPrince of Peace School, and Our Lady of the Rosary School are the closest options. These schools focus on elementary students and provide great programs and courses to the residents here. The Fraser Institute, which is responsible for grading the elementary and high schools of Alberta, ranks Prince of Peace at 380th in the province while Our Lady of the Rosary is 289th in the province against 800+ other schools.
