The neighbourhood is made up of large homes, set in an area that doesn’t have any neighbouring communities around it. The large CPR yard is a deterrent to further develop the surrounding areas. The borders of Ogden are Glenmore Trail, the Bow River, and that Canadian Pacific Rail yard.

The community has just shy of 9000 residents currently living here. The community has a pretty steady growth rate with just 14% of the community coming from an immigrant background. To give a comparison, that represents about half of the normal for other Calgary communities. This is a community with longevity in mind. Although you’ll find normal single-family homes here, the community has a few other structures for housing. You can find several duplexes, apartments, and townhomes here. The community is actually quite young compared to other similarly-aged communities. There are a number of young families who have found homes here, making their stake in a community for its history and longevity. The community has a slightly lower income average to the other communities in Calgary with less educated residents than similar communities.

The Ogden Community Association uses a communal hall to launch events for the residents living here. Most of the people have a good connection to each other through the events and programs that the association offers every year. These include several breakfasts and barbecues, family events, and community clean-ups to being more aware of community maintenance.
