13 Newest Communities in Calgary

Vermillion Hill

First on the list is Vermillion Hill. You may not have heard of it yet because it is so brand new that you can only see a vast open space in the area at the moment.

Qualico communities is developing the site with duplexes, laned and detached homes with prices around $500,000 and up. The builders present in this community are Sterling Homes, Broadview Homes, NuVista Homes, Shane Homes, Genesis Builders and Homes by Avi.

Vermillion Hill is right next to Fish Creek Park and beside the talked-about new community of Alpine Park.


Alpine Park

Alpine Park is a stunning community on the rise in southwest Calgary. The developer here is Dream Unlimited, and they are doing townhomes, laned, and detached homes. They also have a unique spin on detached homes, which they call courts and vintage. Courts are detached homes with a front courtyard facing other houses.

Calbridge Homes, Cardel Homes, Homes by Dream, and Genesis Builders are the builders here. You can find many different homes and products from around mid $400,000 and up.

Silverton

Silverton, one of Calgary’s newest communities set to open in 2023, is putting the urban back into the suburban. Cardel Homes will manage all of their detached and local homes, and Genesis Builders will take care of the street townhouses.

Silverton is in a great location in the southwest of Calgary, surrounded by established places like Silverado and Sobeys.


Belvedere

Belvedere is one of Calgary's most sought-after new communities in 2023, located adjacent to the East Hill Shopping Centre and only 15 minutes from downtown. It is on the east side of Stoney Trail and right in the city’s center!

The developer here is Tristar Communities. You can buy condos, townhouses, duplexes, laned and detached homes. Prices start at $200,000 and above. DS Homes, Allison At Home, and Crystal Creek Home are the builders.

Lewiston

Lewiston will be home to 1,000 families, creating a quaint, close-knit community in north Calgary. Genesis Land Develop is developing the site, and they are planning to have condos, townhomes, and detached homes.

If you are looking for a great area with a northeast address, you should check out Lewiston. It will be an ideal community with abundant pathways, lush green spaces, and a naturalized stream corridor.


Homestead

Homestead is on the north of Belvedere, east of Stoney Trail. The developer of this new community is Partners Development Group, which has towns, duplexes, laned, and detached homes. All from around mid $400,000, low $400,000s and up.

The builders you can expect to find here are Excel homes, Genesis Builders, Partners Development Group, and Trico Homes. So if you are looking for something on this side of the city, Belvedere and Homestead are great choices.

Ambleton

Ambleton is a fantastic brand-new community in northwest Calgary, north of Stoney Trail. Qualico, the developer of this community, has a fantastic plan for this area, including a beautiful pond for the residents.

Sterling Homes, Shane Homes, Trico Homes, Jayman and Broadview Homes are building townhomes, laned, duplexes, detached homes, and front garage homes at mid $300,000s and up.

Glacier Ridge

Glacier Ridge is in the northwest part of Calgary, north of Stoney Trail.
Anthem United is developing the site, and the builders include Cedar Glen Homes, Morrison Homes, Shane Homes, Trico Homes and Jayman Built.

This community is set to have duplexes, laned homes, and detached homes, framed by views of the Rocky Mountain Foothills and distinguished by the natural coulees that cross its land.


Seaton Ridge, Logan Landing, Nostalgia

At the end of Glacier Ridge is where you are supposed to see the communities of Seaton Ridge, Logan Landing, and Nostalgia. However, as of now, digging is still happening, and these places remain a mystery!
These three communities are on the south end of Seton, towards the river. Brookfield will develop Seton Ridge, Nostalgia is under Jayman and Telsec, and Genesis Land Development will develop Logan Landing.
Builders and price points are not yet disclosed as of this writing.

Rangeview

Rangeview is another fantastic brand-new community underway. It already has some houses, show homes, and open spaces. Rangeview is in the southeast part of Calgary, close to Mahogany and Auburn Bay.
The developer of Rangeview is Section 23 Developments. Towns, laned, and detached homes are being built by Bay West Homes, Jayman Built, Homes by Avi and Excel homes. You can buy a property here for about $400,000 and above.

Rockland Park

The last community is Rockland Park, a fantastic master plan community. Probably one of the last master plan communities in the northwest part of Calgary in the last decade. It is a beautiful, quiet area pulled away from everything.

The developer here is Brookfield Residential. Cedarglen Homes, Homes by Avi, Morrison Homes and Brookfield Residential are the builders in charge of townhomes, duplexes, detached, and some estate homes on the ridge, overlooking the river.

You can get a wide variety of products anywhere from $300,000 to $1,000,000+ in this community.
