As for other public places, Optimist Athletic Park is very near, a public sporting ground that you can rent for a sports team. It has 8 ball diamonds, several practice spaces, and 3 official fields for soccer, rugby or any other field sports. Edworthy Park is very close along Sarcee Trail. Olympic Heights Elementary is a school for students in Kindergarten through to Grade 6. They have hundreds of registered students taking part in their exceptional public programs. John W Costello Elementary is a Catholic school providing a faith-based alternative to the public sector schools. Dr Roberta Bondar School and Ernest Manning High School is close to the community. Ernest Manning has the incredible reputation of a public school that outperforms many of the private schools proclaiming better education. Webber Academy is not far from Strathcona Park and it’s the number one school in the province according to the records of the Fraser Institute.
