St Andrews Heights has the distinction of sitting on some prime real estate. The community cits alongside Crowchild Trail and the Trans-Canada Highway. These two roads allow premium access to much of the city as well as the mountain to the west.
Residents can use the roads to quickly get into the heart of the city or travel the length of Calgary easily. The Foothills hospital as well as the bluffs overlooking the river valley below.
The community of St Andrews Heights is unique and varied, a quite distinct community because of where it sits. The community has expanded these last 5 years to now have over 1600 residents living in the housing options here. Those options are mainly the single-family homes found throughout the community.
These homes are a mixture, older bungalows that were built decades ago, and newer homes built right beside them. These older homes have been razed to make way for newer apartments and townhomes for people that want to live here and make St Andrews Heights their home.
The average income is slightly lower but a look at some of the houses here will tell the story that there are many affluent families living in the neighbourhood. 16% of the community are first-generation Canadians, a lower proportion to the rest of the city. The St Andrews Heights Community Association is, by all measures, a pretty standard community association. Amenities near St Andrews Heights Real Estate
St Andrews Heights homes have good views of the overlooking river valley as well as the city skyline. The view is just one feature of what the residents here can enjoy. For one, the community is shared by the campus of the Foothills Medical Centre, a state-of-the-art facility that offers world-class health care right on the doorstep of the community. Nearby is the Alberta Children’s Hospital. The hospital has 34 different schools of medicine and a staff of 150 researchers whose sole job is to investigate diseases and illnesses of children.
The University of Calgary is also very close, a popular university that has 20,000 enrolled students. The campus is larger than the downtown core itself.
Just down the road is the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, another post-secondary school that has at least 10,000 enrolled students every year.

The schools in St Andrews Heights offer students many options for education. Branton Junior High is a French immersion school with a fully bilingual program for many students in the Northwest. Queen Elizabeth School and Queen Elizabeth High School are also good options. William Aberhart High School and Louise Dean School are good options that don’t require much driving to access.
