Homes For Sale in Rosemont

Rosemont is nicely tucked away in it’s own little area. The community is surrounded by other established and mature communities like Collingwood, Mount Pleasant, and Cambrian Heights. This northwest Calgary neighbourhood is situated north of the Trans-Canada Highway, the border between the inner city lifestyle and more residential neighbourhoods. It is inclusive, multicultural, and welcoming to all. The southern edge of the community is Confederation Park, a large green space for all to enjoy.

The people in Rosemont are a varied community. Over 1200 people call this their home in Calgary. That number stays pretty consistent as those who live here tend to stay here. The majority of the current residents have lived here for at least 5 years, choosing to settle down in favour of moving around.  Around 60% of the community is the single-family home, the classic bungalow seen in older neighbourhoods, homes with large yards and plenty of space between their neighbours.

Modern renovations have seen luxury homes and townhomes pop up all around the community, larger houses that have contemporary amenities and sizes. The average income is exactly on par with the rest of the city. 10% of the community is reported to be a first-generation Canadian.

The community has a lower-than-average proportion of resident with higher education degrees. Many people work in the downtown core, and find business in the northwest to work with. Just like the neighbourhood itself, the residents of Rosemont are more mature than the average Calgarian, just about 5 years older.

The Rosemont Community Association is an old established association created to serve the community. The past decades have seen it represent the voice to city council meetings, hold events for the community, host programs to further the education of the residents, and create connecting events to link neighbours together.

The community can easily use the established transportation routes and great infrastructure to get where they need to go. 14th St NW and 10th St NW both provide an access point to the city, an entry that gets residents directly into the heart of the business district downtown.
