This is a very small neighbourhood compared to other communities, so we can get a greater sense of the people here because they represent a smaller cross-section. There are just over 3000 residents in Palliser. They are made up of predominantly native Calgarians with around 20% immigrants. The population here lives in apartments first with single-family homes second to those condominium developments. There are a few townhomes and duplexes found here as well. The community has strong diversity but they all share family values. The normal household is made up of families, usually smaller and older in age. The community inspires a more permanent housing option with 82% of the population living in their home for at least a year with 60% living here for at least 5 years. The community is mature in age and stature, having more senior residents than many other Calgary neighbourhoods.
The Palliser community association is shared among the neighbourhoods of Pump Hill and Bayview as well. They all have equal values and share a common goal to improve their neighbourhoods.
