Homes For Sale in Cliff Bungalow
This long, narrow community sits just outside of the central core to Calgary’s downtown. Just a few blocks wide from 4th St SW and from 17th Ave to the Elbow River, this community is a featured part of Calgary for shopping. The residences are in low-rise apartments or set back from the main streets in larger houses or townhomes. This community feels very established with large, mature trees in several yards and older-style homes alongside newer renovated housing options. Luxury apartments and moderately-priced townhouses are the norm for this community. The houses are surprisingly large for an inner city neighbourhood, with many houses priced in the 7-figures. There are 340 single-family homes in this community, making up 17% of the available dwelling options. The vast majority are apartments, giving entry to lower-income families who work close to downtown.
Cliff Bungalows residents were once made up of Canadian Pacific Railway employees, and now they make up a large proportion of the downtown working class. Over 2000 people call this their home, 17% of which are first-generation Canadians. This could be considered a fairly upscale community with many inhabitants having post-secondary degrees and good careers in the workforce. It’s a younger demographic that choose to live here, at least 4 years younger on average than anywhere else. There are few families living here, many with children who are younger than 14.
The Cliff Bungalow-Mission Community Association embraces the neighbourhood through its events and programs. With membership, residents can use the facilities on hand, participate in neighbourhood-wide events, and enrol in courses and classes offered to those living here. The association has a community garden that welcomes all to participate and cultivate.

Along 4th Street is one of Calgary’s prime shopping districts. It’s lined with several retail options and top eatery choices. It’s been redeveloped in the past 10 years to include many new stores and restaurants, further increasing the value of the community. Not far from the community is the downtown area. It has many more of Calgary’s best retail and restaurant options, many of which are in the Core Shopping Centre.
Beside Cliff Bungalow is the Repsol Sports Centre, an athletic centre with full sized swimming pools, diving tanks, and a 10m diving platform.
