Real estate in Nolan Hill is defined by Symons Valley Parkway, Sarcee Trail NW, Shaganappi Trail, and 144th Ave NW.
The character of Nolan Hill shares many of its attributes and demographics with the neighbouring communities of Evanston, Kincora, and Hamptons. These communities all have large housing with open lots of land and parks. The community is welcoming, usually with more than the average immigrant population than other Calgary neighbourhoods. Most of the people who choose to live in Nolan Hill are families looking for space to raise their children. Many households here are two or more children at home, young families with a desire to settle down in a new and developing environment. This is who typically Nolan Hill attracts. There is much to offer here so there will always be an appeal for young families to settle down. Many residents choose to live in their homes for at least a year, longer if they can.
The Nolan Hill Community Association uses social media to alert the community of events going on in the neighbourhood. Many soccer and baseball trams, community barbecues, and other initiatives help keep a link to the people living here, helping to strengthen the bonds between neighbours and families.
Nolan Hill Amenities

Both Shaganappi Trail and Sarcee Trail also offer good entry points to other neighbourhoods and further amenities.
The shopping here can be done in Simons Valley and Sage Hill where many local businesses and big name brands have created a complex. These stores bring in people from all over the northwest as the area continues to expand ever outward. Nolan Hill residents also use CrossIron Mills, one of the largest shopping complexes in Alberta, for their necessities and needs. The shopping is located just outside of Calgary along Deerfoot Trail and is easy to access from Stoney Trail or 144th Ave.

Nearby is the Inland Athletic Park, a large outdoor area with ball diamonds, soccer fields, and open spaces to play all types of games and sports. Neighbouring communities also have excellent trail systems that weave throughout the neighbourhood and offer year round walking, biking, and cross country skiing paths.

The Hamptons School is a smaller K-4 school with good teacher-student ratios for better personalised success. High school students can attend the nearby Robert Thirsk High School.
