The community’s borders are Deerfoot Trail, Trans-Canada highway, Memorial Drive, and Barlow Trail.

The number one choice for housing is the single-family home, but this is not a majority at all. The community has an equal number of townhomes, duplexes, and apartments in this neighbourhood, well suited as a home for the professional singles working in the city’s core district. 17% of the population living in Mayland Heights is from an immigrant background, while the neighbourhood welcomes a large number of ethnicities here.
