Marlborough Park Neighbourhood Information
The community of Marlborough Park lies in the northeast of Calgary, along a couple major roads. The neighbourhood was first established in 1972 with homes being buitl in the 70s and 80s here. Along with Marlborough, this neighbourhood has become one of central locations for Calgary’s northeast communities, a major destination for anybody living here. The neighbourhood is defined by the Trans-Canada Highway, Memorial Dr, 52nd St NE, and 68th St NE.

The centre of the neighbourhood is one giant park, Big Marlborough Park is owned and maintained by the city of Calgary. The park includes tennis courts, a toboggan hill, and many baseball diamonds as well. The park is well-used by families and groups from within the neighbourhood.
For those who are keen on good shopping, living in Marlborough Park has its distinct advantages. There are several small local businesses around the community. But Marlborough Mall is the best source for shopping, a large mall with professional services, restaurants, and retail stores with several unique shops around.
Marlborough Park Schools
The community is well-catered by schools, both elementary, junior high, and senior high schools. The neighbourhood has Roland Michener School, Dr Gladys McKelvie Egbert School, Cappy Smart School, and St Martha School. St Martha has classes in an alternative Catholic education school with classes from Kindergarten to Grade 6. The school is ranked by the Fraser Institute as 601st in the province. Roland Michener has classes up to Grade 5, with Grade 6 students introduced into the Dr Gladys Junior High at grade 6. The nearest high schools to the neighbourhood are Father Lacombe High School, Forest Lawn High School, and Jack James High School. The Fraser Institute also ranks the Alberta high schools and places Forest Lawn at 244th and Father Lacombe at 160th in the province.
