Calgary Homes in SE Communities 

We look for the best communities with homes that you will love. And when we look for those places, we first need to ask you some questions. You have preferences, you have needs, and you certainly know what’s best for your family. With that being said, what’s next in the process of finding the best townhouse for you is to know your needs better. Looking for a home near to downtown? How about somewhere with parks and trails? Or do you need something close to major schools? Let’s start with that and then make decisions.

If you want the downtown access, we can’t go past places like Inglewood and Ramsay. The development of these areas has been deeply impacted by the increased traffic of hip, young people and people demanding better of their neighbourhoods. These are exciting places to live with rich options of townhomes near to the core of the city.

If you want something more suburban, maybe we could recommend a community like McKenzie Towne. This unique neighbourhood is a master-planned neighbourhood designed to feel like a town more than a part of the city. Each of the 4 “districts” of this community has unique architecture, roadways, and amenities.

As you no doubt can understand, when you look for houses for sale in Calgary SE you’re going to find a varied array of choices. Let’s break these down even further.

Calgary South East Amenities

The issue of looking at the features and benefits of living here is that there are too many choices. First off, this has some of the best outdoor areas in the city. Both Fish Creek Park and the Bow River feature heavily on the lists of activity areas to enjoy. Both of these areas include trails and paths to explore along with family-friendly centres that everyone will enjoy. 

Another major factor that helps people find the perfect home for sale in the SE is the transportation option. Already, there exists the Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail to service the commuters who need to travel around the city efficiently and quickly. But as the city continues to expand, the future improvements to the area will include the newly-announced Green Line extension of the C-Train system. This will link neighbourhoods in the southeast of Calgary to the rest of the city in exciting ways.

We also see a number of exciting prospects in the future as Calgary focuses its attention on developing more communities in the southeast. This area is considered an underutilized section of the city and so future communities like Seton and even beyond will add thousands of new homes options in the years to come. 

Southeast Townhouses and Schools

Let’s look, for a moment, at the schooling options found here. We see that a great number of young children live in the southeast. That has driven a massive explosion of elementary schools to be built in the area. Newer communities have schools like Auburn Bay School or Dr Martha Cohen School which only have classes up to Grade 4. High schools here include Lord Beaverbrook High School or Centennial High School. Thee schools in the public system have been ranking very well on the Fraser Institute ranking system across Alberta. Centennial ranks in the top 40 schools in the province. We also find a few private schools here as well of note. These schools include West Island College with an excellent track record and unparalleled opportunities for the privileged students attending.
