Hidden Valley Houses For Sale

The community of Hidden Valley has a pretty large footprint, taking up a lot of real estate with its large borders. The community’s boundaries include Shaganappi Trail, Country Hills Blvd, and Stoney Trail. Much of the eastern border of the neighbourhood is formed by Nose Creek, a meandering stream that has many different trails to explore. There are also several houses that back on to Country Hills Golf Course.

The neighbourhood is very large in Calgary suburb standards. Almost 12,000 people live in the housing options here. There are predominantly single-family homes. This makes up 92% of the housing available. They range from very large houses to moderate homes with great access to all the Hidden Valley has to offer. A few contemporary condo buildings have modern facilities for those who prefer to downsize and live in peaceful, safe surroundings. The average income is, like many of the communities here, larger than Calgary standards. Nearly one-third of the people living here come from an immigrant background, first-generation Canadians who arrived here from many different nationalities. This is reflected in the many speciality stores and ethnic shops found in the area. The community does love this area with over two-thirds of the population living in their homes for over 5 years, much more than Calgary’s normal rate of transition. The average household is larger, a family unit with small children at home normally.

The Hidden Valley Community Association is very active, and it has to be with the number o residents that it serves. Every month, the association has events for the community like family fun days, community clean-up events, and an organized, community-wide garage sale event. They also combine the voices of the residents to address city council in municipal matters.

Hidden Valley Amenities

The Hidden Valley residents have plenty to be proud of in their community. A major amenity of the neighbourhood includes the golf course and public parks that are found in the neighbourhood.  Country Hills Golf Course provides an engaging course that pushes even the most experienced to the top of their game. West Nose Creek Park also has several trails that can be used year-round for biking, cross country skiing, and picnics. Nose Hill Park is a popular location for many residents with 11 square kilometres of trails and paths and natural reserve.

The community sits on Stoney Trail, offering a ring road that is due to be completed in 2021. The road will connect Hidden Valley with the rest of the city, a true asset that many residents will love. This offers access to one of Calgary’s largest shopping areas, CrossIron Mills. This large single-level shopping area has all the major shopping options, dining choices, and many professional services to use. Commuters have a great public transit system, an infrastructure that ensures people can easily access the city centre in under and hour from their front door.

Hidden Valley Schools 

The students living here have many options in this community or the neighbouring communities. Hidden Valley School has almost 500 registered students from Kindergarten to Grade 3 , a large school for the grades they offer. St Elizabeth Seton School is a faith-based school for K-9 students, taking them through a Catholic school system that continues all the way through to high school. Captain Nichola Goddard School and Kenneth D Taylor School are located nearby, offering more choices for the many students living in this area.
