Hamptons Houses For Sale 

Over 90% of the occupied homes in Hamptons are single-family homes, many large homes in excess of the city standard square footage. That is in part because the median income of Hamptons residents is over 50% higher than the Calgary standard. This affluent neighbourhood contains an older generation of residents. The Calgary average age is 36 while Hamptons residents average around 46. That represents a community of older, more established neighbours that truly value community over anything else. Almost two-thirds of the residents have a post-secondary degree of some sort and work in white-collar positions within the city.

The community sits right on the Stoney Trail ring road, allowing residents to quickly travel from one side of the city to the other. The completed ring road is due to finish in 2021, further elevated the real estate prices of this community. The Hamptons Calgary Homeowners Association uses a yearly fee charged to the resident to care for the parks and plants in the community and puts out a monthly newsletter for residents to keep up to date with what’s happening with their community.

This orderly and well-maintained suburb presents a higher standard of living for Calgarians who want it.

Hamptons Amenities

Hamptons homes are well suited to avail many of the services in nearby communities. Just a few minutes’ drive down the road puts many shopping centres, parks, and athletic centres within reach.

The main feature and primary selling point of Hamptons is the Hamptons Golf Club. The club is a pristine 18-hole golf course for members only, founded in the mid-90s to service the prestigious community. The course emphasizes cleanliness, order, and challenge with a course that is among the best in all of Calgary. The course holds many events while the clubhouse hosts events and weddings in their first class lounge. The clubhouse is immaculately presented and overlooks the perfectly manicured fairways and greens of this impressive course.

Hamptons is one of the only communities in the northwest that has an Olympic-sized hockey rink. This hockey rink is paid for and maintained by the HOA and is the pride of the residents here. The HOA fees also allow Hamptons residents to enjoy tennis courts, several ball diamonds, bike pathways, connected trails to Nose Hill Park, and over 30 acres of parkland within the community. Should that not be enough, just over the ring road is Calgary Inland Athletic Park, a park dedicated to sporting events such as soccer, football, baseball, and softball. The athletic park is ideally situated to serve the sporting teams within Hamptons.

Most Hamptons residents do their shopping at the Country Hills Village Shopping Centre in Edgemont or at Crowfoot Crossing in Arbour Lake. Between these two locations, they have every type of store, shop, service, and supermarket that anybody could need.

Hamptons Schools

Although many of the residents in Hamptons have children that have left home, there are excellent schools that mirror the community that they serve. This includes The Hamptons School, a prestigious Kindergarten to Grade 3 elementary school that maintains good classroom sizes and excellent student-teacher ratios for better learning opportunities. Outside of Hamptons, there is Citadel Park School, Tom Baines School, and Mother Mary Greene School in Edgemont. Most high school students choose to attend Robert Thirsk High School, a recently opened senior high school that serves much of the northernmost communities. 

Mother Mary Greene in the Calgary Catholic School Board is an excellent school that currently ranks 76th on the list of schools in Alberta. This ranking by the Fraser Institute is a province-wide record of students test scores and overall attendance records. This elementary school is among the top choices in all of the northwest for the Catholic school system.
