Falconridge Houses For Sale

The community of Falconridge is set in Calgary’s northeast neighbourhoods. It’s a community that has served as a hub for the development of the rest of the area. It was originally established as an official Calgary community in 1979 and homes were built up to the mid 1990s. There is a character and charm about the homes here. The community’s borders are McKnight Blvd, 64th Ave NE, 68th St NE, and Falconridge Blvd.

The community of Falconridge is very diverse and expansive. There are over 10,000 residents in this community, 40% of which are first-generation Canadians. This astounding fact helps us to understand the dynamic and appeal of this neighbourhood to future home buyers in this area. The community is made up of single-family homes by a slim majority. The community also has an equal measure of townhomes, duplexes and plenty of apartments for those needing smaller accommodation. The average age here has continued to be younger than the rest of Calgary’s communities, the appeal for young families is very strong here. The average household is a family with at least 2 kids at home. Although, the ages of kids can vary from the very young to almost leaving home. The community ha a good proportion of residents who have lived in the area for at least a year. It’s a 50% split on those who have lived for at least 5 years or more in Falconridge. The community has a slightly lower income level than others with a lower education level as well. This is common in neighbourhoods with higher immigrant populations.

The Falconridge Castleridge Community Association does double duty in caring for the two communities. This association, entirely run by volunteers from the two neighborhoods, has been representing and serving the population here for 30+ years. They not only offer the standard programs and events, classes for adults, dances and galleries. They also offer a home for the many immigrants to hold religious festivals and commemorations in the facility hall here.

The community enjoys access along roads like McKnight Blvd and Stoney Trail to all major parts of the city. Commuters have both access to these roads as well as the C-Train station close by.
