Dalhousie Houses For Sale

Dalhousie has a large and extensive community with over 9000 residents calling it their home. Only 58% of the residents live in single-family homes with the rest made up of townhomes, apartments and duplexes, in line with the Calgary average homeowner. It’s a family-friendly community, with over 85% showing they live in a family unit of some measure. To see more info on MLS listings Calgary  click here to see simlar propertys.

The working class community shows strong allegiance to their community with a very active community association. The Dalhousie Community Association works hard to create events and host facilities that the entire neighbourhood can enjoy. It has a community hall with several rooms to host functions, it arranges programs like soccer and child care, and it has a communal job board for opportunities in the area. It even hosts community-wide events such as a casino fundraiser, an artisan market, a community clean-up day, and a parade of garage sales with all of Dalhousie.

The neighbourhood is located along Highway 1A, John Laurie Blvd, Sarcee Trail and Shaganappi Trail. Residents can access any corner of Calgary easily and swiftly with their commuting options. Dalhousie also sits adjacent to Nose Hill Park, a popular recreational area for residents to enjoy.

Dalhousie Amenities

The primary benefit of living in Dalhousie is the access to Calgary rail transit system. The Dalhousie station connects this community with the rest of Calgary, putting downtown within reach of 20 minute transit times. The station aids to move 101 million travellers each year along the 118 kms of C-Train tracks.

Dalhousie is primed for amenities with several shopping complexes within the community. The Dalhousie Station shopping centre is a complex full of 39 different shops, restaurants and professional services for the residents to use. The complex includes a supermarket, banks, and several eating options. It also holds one of the remaining stores for Bernard Callebaut, a Calgarian chocolate maker whose chocolate has gained international notoriety. Right next to Dalhousie is Northland Village, a mall complete with every type of retail and restaurant shoppers could want.

Biking trails wind their way through the houses and go through the several green spaces throughout the community. One such space is Dalton Park, a public area with a full-sized ball diamond and fields to play soccer, football, or may other sporting activities.
