Coventry Hills Houses For Sale

The neighbourhood of Coventry Hills has a pervasive footprint, taking over the northern corner of this section of Calgary. The community is bordered by fields and fresh developments, at the very outskirts of the city. That’s about to change with the arrival of a new development phase and planning to design several communities around it. Currently, the neighbourhood is bounded by Country Hills Rd, Country Hills Blvd, Harvest Hills Blvd and Stoney Trail. One central ring road provides access to the entire community, making navigating this neighbourhood extremely convenient.

The community of Coventry Hills has a varied story. There are just shy of 17,000 residents living in Coventry Hills, a number that has risen sharply in the past three years. This rapid growth represents the expansion of this corner of Calgary and an anticipation of better things to come. 93% of the available housing options are single-family homes. They are detached housing with large yards and a mix between moderately-priced houses and expansive estates with exquisite views. The income is high, a marked increase over the Calgary standard. The average age is much younger than Calgary’s normal, a proving ground for many young families and first time home buyers wanting to live in a safe neighbourhood. The average household has a couple with at least 2 kids at home. Over half of the residents here choose to remain in their homes at least 5 years, comfortable with what Coventry Hills has to offer them as their families expand and age out of the home.

The Northern Hills Community Association doubles its duties with Coventry Hills and Country Hills, sharing in concern over the 25,000 residents it serves. They offer Stampede Breakfasts, community garage sales, family fun events, and “meet the neighbours” gatherings.

Coventry Hills Amenities

The Coventry Hills neighbourhood continues to attract and retain so many of its inhabitants because of all the amenities in the area. People don’t feel the need to go anywhere else. The shopping in Country Hills Village as well as Crossiron Mills meets all the needs of any residents. These shopping plazas are both very accessible to the community and offer a wide range of services, stores, and restaurants to select. Entertainment and culture can also be found here in the theatres and speciality shops scattered throughout the community.

The access for residents is made easy by the ring road Stoney Trail. Due to be a complete ring road by late 2021, residents can access any major area of Calgary with ease along this convenient access point. It’s a short 5-10 minute drive to the Calgary airport terminal, not to mention a quick trip down Harvest Hills Blvd which takes commuters directly into the city centre. Nose Creek Park offers residents a chance to walk and bike along kilometres of trails and pathways. These trails can be used for biking during the summer and cross country skiing during the winter. It’s a popular feature for many people living here.

Coventry Hills Schools

Because Coventry Hill is so large, there are several schools in the area that serve the educational needs of many students. Nose Creek School is a Grade 4-9 school that transitions elementary students into junior high and beyond. Coventry Hills School is the other side of that school, a K-3 school that has a few hundred enrolled students. St Clare School is a Catholic education for all elementary kids. Notre Dame High School is located very close and has students from all over the northwest enrolled in a strong faith-based senior high school. St Clare is a very new school and continues to expand its programs and improve its results in students every year.
