Country Hills is a north-western community approaching the very northern tp of the city. Country Hills is defined by the borders of Beddington Trail, Harvest Hills Blvd, and Country Hills Blvd. This triangle of roads converges to form a neat little community that’s primarily green space and public parks. The footprint of the neighbourhood was designed to allow residents here to have instant access to the wetlands, trails, and paths that surround the homes here.

The people of Country Hills are a quiet and welcoming crowd. There are nearing 4000 residents living in this area, mostly comprised of single-family homes. These large, impressive houses sit alongside the smaller apartments, although very modern and contemporary in terms of what they offer and how they’re laid out. This allows established families as well as first time home buyers to find ways to live in Country Hills. The community is of average age, neither older or younger than Calgary’s standard resident. They make an income that is considered healthy for Calgary’s standards. There is a high percentage of immigrants from many countries and races. Their combined efforts serve to connect everyone from the neighbourhoods, an important aspect when a large percentage of the population is new to the country. 

Country Hills Amenities 

At the centre of Country Hills is a nice shopping area, a plaza that draws in people from every community around. The shopping is specifically suited to the neighbourhood with many speciality shops, ethnic grocery stores, and foreign restaurants. There are professional services and theatres as well to offer great entertainment and accommodate every need. One great amenity is the Country Hills Golf Club, a private course that is owned by members and cared for to great measure. These two 18-hole courses are of the highest quality with championship level design and maintenance. The course requires plenty of strategy and skill to play.

Access in and out of Country Hill is easy. The community is just a couple minutes’ away from Deerfoot Trail and the Calgary airport. It’s also close to Crossiron Mills, a popular outlet mall with several warehouse stores and shopping centres. The major roadway of the Stoney Trail ring road will gain favour as it nears completion in 2021. This will allow the residents to travel all around Calgary without any traffic or congestion.  The West Nose Creek area offers immediate access to some of the best trails and paths around. The community can wander through this urban park with a creek and bridges to discover as well as 73 hectares of unspoiled natural reserve. Nearby is the immense Nose Hill Park, 11 square kilometres of trails and raw land, set right in the heart of Calgary’s northwest. It has summer and winter activities, great for families all year round

Country Hills Schools 

The suburb of Country Hills does have several schools as its in quite a few school districts. The options include the Ascension of Our Lord School, Notre Dame High School, Beddington Heights School, Panorama Hills School, and St Jerome Elementary School.
