Cornerstone Houses For Sale 

The community of Cornerstone is one of the newest to Calgary, a northeast neighbourhood with a large footprint planned for development. The neighbourhood is still expanding and weill include, when it’s complete, 4-5 different micro-communities, separate in design, architecture, and layout. The borers for this neighbourhood are Airport TRail, Stoney Trail, and 60th St NE.

Several developers are building the homes that will one day hopefully accommodate thousands of Calgarians. As of right now, we are still looking forward to find out who will find this suitable for their needs. At the moment, the population is sitting around 1600 residents. But in future, developers and city planners hope that there will upwards of 10-12,000 residents in the available space here. It’s one of the largest communities in the northeast and has the potential to become a linchpin in the neighbourhoods up here. The main choice of home is the detached single-family dwelling. This is the most sought-after choice for families here, although the developers have plans for more. There are apartments and multiplex buildings planned for the future, with several townhomes and duplexes integrated into the design of the community. We see that the relative population is young, much younger by several years than the standard family in Calgary. This is also a growing neighbourhood that has attracted several families from different nationalities. Although it’s too soon to tell, this could become a haven for diversity, a community that welcomes one and all into the boundaries of Cornerstone.

As of right now, the Cornerstone Community Association has one job: get more people to move here. They work closely with developers and builders to come up with new initiatives to attract potential buyers. They also create events and excitement around new showhomes, inviting families to experience a taste of living in Cornerstone. And as the community continues to grow, the community will see the association play an even bigger role in creating a sense of pride about living here.

Cornerstone Amenities 

The attraction for living in Cornerstone has a lot to do with modern developments, creative design, and a planned community with the family household in mind. It’s set to be a large space that enjoys incredible access to much of Calgary’s best amenities/ The first is the access it gets from Stoney Trail, a ring road that connects this community with the rest of the city. Country Hills Blvd also connects the commuters into major roads like Deerfoot Trail for access into the city core.

The neighbourhood will be set very close to the Calgary International Airport, a major hub for travel and a great amenity for those residents with lots of reasons to travel. The community is going to enjoy having the ability to reach the terminal doors in under 10 minutes from their home. The airport is a major connection point for Canada, the US and Europe as well.

Shoppers and retail enthusiasts will love the proximity to CrossIron Mills, a major shopping plaza to the north of the city. The community is only a few minutes away from this major hub, with several dozen stores unique to this area of the city.

Cornerstone Schools 

For the parents of which there are many, the community of Cornerstone has a great number of schools both already here and planned for the future. Currently, there is Apostles of Jesus School, Saddle Ridge School, Hugh A Bennett SchoolLight of Christ School, and Peter Lougheed School.  Many of these schools are designed for young children, with classes only going from Kindergarten to Grade 4, catering to the needs of the community. For high schools, the options are Nelson Mandela High School or Bishop McNally High School. Mandela High School is very new and offers a great deal of dual credit courses, fine arts, and academic classes to suit all student levels and styles.
