The community of Coral Springs is located in the northeast of Calgary, on the edge of the Stoney Trail ring road. The community was first established in 1991 with homes being built up until the mid 2000s. The community is still fairly new, but has seen a good growth in the past 2 decades. The borders of the neighbourhood are 64th Ave NE, Stoney Trail ring road, McKnight Blvd, and 68th St NE.

The Fraser Institute ranks Bishop McNally as 170th in the province against many other high schools in Alberta. The Fraser Institute also ranks the Hetherington Elementary as 800+ other schools in Alberta, a very good school that many local students attend. The school welcomes many children from different nationalities.
