The community of Christie Park is set in Calgary’s Southwest. It sits on the western border of Calgary’s city limits and has a few neighbouring communities that share its values and attraction. Shouldice Athletic Park is located close by and offers many sport fields and opportunities to play games in the summer and winter.
Christie Park schools include Olympic Heights School for elementary aged students from Kindergarten through to Grade 6. Beyond that, there is the John Costello School, Ernest Manning High School, Westgate Elementary, and Vincent Massey School. Earnest Manning High School has a great ranking according to the Fraser Institute. It currently sits in the top 30 schools in the province and over 1500 students are enrolled to capture that academic success. Olympic Heights offers great schooling, ranking as high as 65th in the previous years compared to other schools in the province. John Costello is a Catholic system school with a top 100 ranking as well.
