Students choose to live in Cambrian Heights to be in close proximity to both these locations. Calgary Transit serves this community well, with 15% using public transit daily to travel around the city. C-Train stations are not far from the neighbourhood at all.
Cambrian Heights is centrally positioned between Calgary’s major roadways. Within a few minutes, residents can be on Deerfoot Trail, Crowchild Trail or the Trans-Canada Highway. These roads allow residents to travel into the downtown core, to the airport, or head west towards the mountains. Cambrian Heights Schools
The Cambrian Heights district allows students to choose from wide ranges of school options. Cambrian Heights School is a public elementary school with children from Kindergarten through to Grade 6. ASASA Private School Academy is an exclusive school from preschool to Grade 6. King George School is a popular French immersion school for much of the northwest. St Francis High School and William Aberhart High School are both excellent options for senior high education in the area.
King George School’s focus on French is unique among other public schools, offering a full immersion program. Their school currently ranks 365th in the province. Cambrian Heights ranks 425th in the province. Both St Francis and William Aberhart rank in the top 50 high schools over the province, in both the Calgary public and the Catholic school system.
